CrossRoads

Two roads diverged in a wood...

I've had this blog since 2006. I've met quite a few friends and have shared a lot.

With certain freedom comes certain boundaries. Like, if BFF read my blog and I wrote that I hate her dog in detail and she found out via the blog and not me, she would be pissed, right? With good reason.

Not all thoughts should be shared with loved ones but they do need to come out. Since blogging is cheaper than therapy, here ya go.

Btw, BFF doesn't have a dog.

I miss complete anonymity. I miss not having conversations abt a blog post I've written. So, do I start fresh? Do I turn this blog into invited readers only? Do I give up blogging and actually start talking to the people around me about my feelings? I don't know.

Separation anxiety.

oh the (blog) secrets out to some/one/people that you didn't want it to get to? I can understand that-no one locally knows of my blog except once person - everyone else is from other states and/or I don't know them personally and I'm cool with that- that's anonymous enough for me- I'd say to start a new blog- only prob is we wont know where you went to keep reading lol but I know thats the point- we'll miss you with either decision you make-

i'll follow you wherever you are. but i don't want you to leave us altogether. I think we all hit this moment. where the blog world is just getting small and unwanted visitors compromise our sincerity. however, like you said, its cheaper than therapy, so it has some use!

ah its a pain in the butt when your real life people start to know everything you write and sometimes you just want to vent on your blog and not have it follow you around...

maybe password it?

Yes! This is a huge problem. It's part of the reason why I moved too. I personally dislike password protecting because one of the most awesome things about blogging (to me) is when you get a comment from a lurker who hits the nail right on the head. (That's just me though).

If you wanted to move you could ask people to email you for the new address, that way you wont totally loose all your readers.

Either way, it's a tough decision. I hope that whatever you choose you wont completely stop blogging. :-)

I hope you don't stop blogging either. I would miss you tremendously. I read your blog and am amazed at how much you've grown/matured in such a short amount of time. If you decide to move, let me where to find you ;)

Although not as open as most of you are, I thought of changing mine at a point too. I was paranoid the ex was reading but I guess I stopped caring. Don't leave us! Lol!
